Kanchenjunga Trek

Kanchenjunga is restricted and still need a permit to trek with minimum number of trekkers two. Mt. Kachanjunga is the third highest of the world's peaks and one of the most remote trekking areas in the Nepal Himalayan with little or no tea house facilities. It is one of Nepal's least trekked areas and certainly one of its most beautiful. From Kathmandu we fly to Taplejung via Biratnager and commence trekking up Tamur valley along one of the oldest trade routes in the Himalayan. Walking through lush rhododendron forests you climb on into high alpine terrain beyond the village of Gunsa. A camp established high above this village that provides astounding views of Kachanjunga's South face. Returning to Gunsa you then cross the Lapsung La pass treks on the Yalung Glacier and Kanchanjunga Bas Camp. This really is still exploratory trekking and you must be prepared to take the trail as it comes. But to look up at Kanchanjunga's towering south face is easily reward enough for your efforts. After a fulfilling experience of this remote area's lifestyle, people, culture of different ethnic group, reaching high with pass and adventures, you retrace your trek to Taplejung and fly out to Kathmandu.
