The Rim of the Valley trek - a family trekking
for a culture/nature/history and mountain experience
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu airport and
transferred to the hotel. In the late afternoon visit to Splendid
Royal Palace, the Colourful Durbar Square, Goddess Kumari temple,
Jagannath temple and Kasthmandap temple. In the evening, briefing
on the program and dinner.
Day 02: Kirtipur / Patan
Morning tour to Dakshinkali Temple
and Tibetan Refugees Camp. After lunch, visit Kirtipur historic
town. Proceed to Patan, city orientation include old royal
palace, Golden Temple and Mahaboudha Temple.
Day 03: After breakfast, drive to Godawori a botanical garden.
Trek to Phulchoki top through a colorful forest with birds
and animal. You obtain probably best view of the valleys and
mountain as this is the highest point around the valley.
Day 04: Trek to Kusuldevi a descending through the forest.
Down at Camping site it is nice surrounding with sight visit
of village and local peoples.
Day 05: Trekking to Panauti a historic place through the beautiful
farming terrace and villages.
Day 06: Trek to Dhulikhel a touristic destination for sun
set and panoramic mountain views.
Day 07: Trek to Nagarkot a resort hill station for tourists.
Early in the morning enjoy sunrise view over the mountains.
Day 08: Trek to Shankhu descending through the forest, villages
and drive to kathmandu.
Day 09: A rest day for shopping and own activities. In the
evening join a farewell dinner with cultural program.
Day 10: Departure transfer to airport.
